Hello, Ishtaria! It's that time once again, time to Know Your Units! This week, I had a special request (that I've accidentally forgotten for 2 months straight) to bring you Eliffer. After the long wait, here we have it! Unfortunately, Eliffer is about 90% fanservice, 5% backstory, and 5% leather. So little is known about the real Eliffer that the line between lore and history is unclear. I honestly wished for more from AoI on this unit, but nonetheless, here are my findings.
Historical/Mythological Information
Eliffer Gosgorddfawr, or Eleutherius of the Great Army, is a chieftain found in Welsh history/mythology and son of King Arthuis. Not much is recorded about him (he died young), but he is known for having a nigh-indestructible army of spearmen and his good relations with the nation of North Rheged (he married their king's daughter and had access to their troops, so that's a pretty objective sign of a healthy relationship).
His sons Gwrgi and Peredur were mighty warriors who were also influential rulers like their father. They were particularly well-known for refusing to shy away from direct melee combat, which is a lifestyle that typically is accompanied by an early death.
In-Game Description
Eliffer loves people. So much that when she finds one she likes she gives them something very special. Power. But this is where thing's get messy. Because not everyone can handle this gift. Some are driven to madness, while some are driven to... Well... How can I say this? Death.
The Eliffer of Ishtaria has a far more subtle connection to the real thing than many other units do. Let's dig into the connection, shall we?
The historical/mythological Eliffer was both a warlord and a peacekeeper. By establishing such strong ties with the nation of North Rheged, he exemplified a love of people, even if he really didn't (the world may never know).
Like any ruler, others received power through him, specifically his sons. After Eliffer's death, his sons became the rulers of the land. As Kublai Khan inherited great power from Genghis Khan, so did Gwrgi and Peredur from Eliffer. Their tendencies in battle bordered on suicidal, however. Was it a result of all the power they received from their father going to their heads? We'll really never know, but we can speculate.
Skills
AoI portrays Eliffer as more of a demon than anything else. As such, all of her actions are aimed at the destruction of humanity, even if she doesn't mean it (hence the whole death by insanity thing). She is also seen as a very sexual being, making her love of people less innocent-seeming and more depraved. This makes her two skills work hand-in-hand to accomplish her purpose (not her goal). Like Rogue from X-Men, she inadvertently destroys the things she loves the most.
Multi Skill- The End is Here: Once the work of the demons is done, it will be the end. The more people Eliffer entices the closer the world draws to the end.
Passive Skill- Give into Temptation: As a highly sexual demon, Eliffer exists to entice. However, she sees this temptation as a gift rather than a stumbling block to morality.

For the sake of keeping this PG-13, I'll skip some of the overtly sexual aspects of this character.
She's the perfect mascot for the Cosmic Angels union, who's motto is "We love inflicting pain almost as much as we love receiving it!"
Her clothing, if you can call it that, is what fanofthegame206 wears around the house when nobody is around,
a skin-tight leather dress with lots of belt buckles and boots to match. To remind us that she's a demon and not just a girl into BDSM (if you have to ask, you're too young to know), she has claws for fingernails, elvish ears, and the horns of a ram.
Her +1 is far more lewd while also adding features that emphasize that she's a demon. Her horns are more curved now, which is more in the fashion of how demons with ram horns are typically depicted. Her arm and forehead are now marked with tattoos, not unlike Ba'al. Like Ba'al, these tattoos seem to be somehow related to her power.
In her final form, Eliffer reveals her true self, throwing aside what's left of her dignity to put her demonic lewdness on display. Her horns and wings are fully developed. What's left of her clothing is made out of leather belts and whips, and her tattoos now cover her whole body. This is the true Eliffer, the distributor of pain and pleasure.
Unfortunately, that's all I have on Eliffer. To make up for how short this one is, I have some ideas I'll throw around with Meriada, and we'll put up a poll if we decide to do that. If the poll doesn't show up, be prepared for the biggest and best issues of KYU to date. Be sure to check in next time!
