Draw 900 pack. All 3*. I'm just glad that I didn't draw the 3000 pack. Last weeks bait are just too good, it almost drive me to draw this week's big pack.
@newcluelessplayer it's quite normal to be stuck there if you're new, especially if your 7*s is only in base form. If you have 6* maxed, they are usually stronger than base 7* and nowadays they are dirt cheap. If you're in a hurry to advance the event, it's better to replace your weaker units to 6* (+4 & maxed) so you can advanced at least to song jiang 3 (new map 2 stage 3-3). But above that would need some 7* since song jiang debuff your units and the left one are quite tanky. Map 2 stage 2-4 is quite easy if you could obtain fire unit with rush skill.
On the other perspective, if you plan to play for a longer period then I'll advise you to be patient instead. It's normal for new player to struggling there, the first map (on main story extension) usually able to be cleard with 6* straight.
I'm struggling with Baigujing in The Jiangshi's Strike. Is it normal to expect this as a relatively new player?
I don't have many units maxed yet (two base 7* maxed but not the other 3 in deck, plus they are lower rarity). Not enough ap potions to grind quests to get stones very quickly. Usually my alliance's assist units take bosses out with no problem but I can only get this boss to about half before my characters are dead. (not many potions or feathers to use but I think it would take far too many even if I had them)
When failing quest it says lighten the enemy first. I had tried pound crumple pound rend flurry upper upper smash, but it didn't seem very effective either. The adds kill me if I don't take them out, but even with a full burst gauge and all the assist units I couldn't take the boss out before dying when focusing all of the attacks on the boss.
I have only cleared one of the trials (the 3*). I can't remember where I was in regular quests and they don't seem to show up for me now that raid has started.
Wondering if it's too early for me to get through these raid quests or if I'm just doing things wrong.
It may be too early for you. You have to kill Baigujing first, if not the others will revive every turn so no point killing them. If you die with the minions attack is that you are not prepared>.< Make sure to purify the area (atk, def, skill, pots) and to have the right support from union mates, and if you still can't just give up.
You can go to the normal quest. Don't go to the event page but to the quests. It will open the last map you were in, Spirit's Way in this case, click "back" and when all maps show click "witch of ages" banner in the top right. It will lead you to the maps you were in Hope my explanation is good and it helps^^

It sounds like you're trying to keep up with people who have been doing this for years. Right now, you need to focus on leveling up your characters and steadily increasing your stock of AP/BP pots. At this point, you should probably let your higher level union mates do the wrecking while you pitch in what you can, but without using your pots. You can PM me for help if you want.

what base 7* do you have? Cause if you have a unit worth a few potions, you can buy off some fairly decent units. Heck, a Kurikara+4 is only worth 420 potions and she's a 7* sporting not only an immense atk buff but also a whooping 7.7k dmg full break. If not, buy a full team of 6*+4. Most sell for either 50// or just 50/ max lvl. Forget about looking cool and getting waifus atm. Like in real life, you have to establish yourself first before getting your girl. Once you can safely do events and maps to get your crowns and cash in, then get your waifus. Just build a balance team. Visit the wikia to check out units or simply just message ppl here. Thanks for the information and suggestions. Someone warned me not to waste potions and scrolls just getting matches for the cards I have and instead get good cards, but I'm not sure what "good" is yet.
I have used too many ap/bp potions on events without realizing soon enough that I needed the event cards. I also wasted a bunch of ap potions repeatedly running the bonus areas for grimoires so I could max the cards I have.
Thanks for explaining how to get back to the regular quests. I am apparently right at the beginning of The Goddess Grotto. I am guessing it's better to repeat the easier event quests instead of doing the regular ones for now. Is that right?
Any suggestions on which trial might be do-able after the 3* one?

Agni, Idun, and Jarovit. Idun and Jarovit say they aren't tradable. My 6* is Kore +3 but I don't think those are on bazaar yet either.
Haha.. I had to look up waifu. I'm not looking for amazing cards or showing off to anyone, not even my union members. I was just trying to see what is actually worthwhile vs a waste of resources.

To clarify, as a new player, you should ignore most events until you have built up a better quest deck. In order to build that better quest deck, stick to these proven strategies:
1)Save every crown you get. 2)Do as many quests as you can until you hit a quest that is too difficult to overcome. In the beginning, you should be able to finish enough quests to gain a level and refill you AP and BP in order to keep going. This gets easier once you can do All Out Attacks, since they give way more Exp then just doing five normal attacks individually. Doing quests and gaining levels will earn you lots of free crowns in the beginning, which loops back to point 1.
Also, avoid these pitfalls:
1)Don't try to go crazy on events(as mentioned earlier). Just do what you can with natural regen, especially for quest events like this one, where you can earn lots of free crowns for some easy quest clears. "Tales of History" is another quest-focused event that can earn you lots of free crowns too, so keep an eye out for them, but this leads to point 2. 2)Don't spend any potions you earn on quests or events. If you find that you've reached quests you're having an inordinately difficult time getting through, it's time to start looking on the Bazaar for Unit upgrades(by which I mean buying brand new, badass units). 7* units are obviously the best, but they are all well beyond the reach of newer players. That's okay though, because there are tons of extremely affordable max level 6* units on the Bazaar that are every bit as good, if not stronger, that a lot of the base 7* units you'll find listed on the market. A full team of maxed-out 6* units will easily get you to the end of the quests with minimal effort, and will be a good place to start for participating in certain events(again, mainly quest types). If you need some suggestions on which units to look for, ask your union if they're active, or feel free to ask us here on the forums. And last, but definitely not least: 3)DON'T BUY PACKS!!!!!!(with certain exceptions). This is pretty straightforward. Most unit packs that cost crowns are not worth it. The exceptions to this rule are typically Supply Packs(which give you hundreds of potions and some units) or Packs that give guaranteed 7* units. These packs are usually also very expensive, and can only be purchased once, but they are well worth it. Those packs are what you should save your hard-earned crowns for. Even if the 7* unit you get isn't that good, or isn't to your liking, you can still sell it on the bazaar for a *minimum* of 300 potions, which will be a good stock for doing one event. Once you have a decent supply of potions, you'll be able to pick an event, and you'll be able to grind it out to earn a maxed out 7* unit for a reward. After that, You'll just get stronger and stronger!
I know that's a lot to take in, but hopefully it helped you out a little bit. ^^

I think it's too early for you for this event, sorry..
Build your deck & rise your level wisely. 6*+4 is better than base 7*, buy 6*+4 in bazaar for 50 AP/BP. If you don't have enough pots, exchange it with medals. If you don't have enough medal maxed the loyalty of your card through battle or quest. When you unlock bazaar sell your unwanted card with reasonable price (1 pot for base 3*, 2 for base 4*, etc). 3* or 4* card with good stat or cute appearance (lol) sold faster than common 6*, so just summon normal packs as many as you can.
Some event is easy for new player. Gifting events is easiest way to get 7*, KoF & UvU is good if you have good union. Just do daily quest & get minimum pts for free card. For other event, just do it to get crown & pots.

I got Defense of the Dilong Spirit's Way purified except for the brave aura for bonus quests.
I started purifying Roar of the Tianlong In an Illusion, but I am stuck on Song Jiang-4. I can't quite get the female down to half health before I end up dying. I haven't gotten her down below 50% health even once though.
What would be the best place to get more spirit stones? I need more than 100,000 to finish purifying In an Illusion. The drop rate seems lower in these quests, but I'm getting union points here. Is it worth the 30k stones to do the bonus quests in Spirit's Way? How do the bonus quests there compare with the ones in Goddess Grotto, Western Wind Dunes, etc?

The bonus quests operate the same way as the regular quests. You'll earn grimoires inside and you'll face tougher monsters, but the big difference is that you will earn the 6* unit Zhurong if you complete one of the bonus quests. She's not really all that strong, and more of a collectors piece for art, but if you wanna try to get her, then by all means. ^_^
As for getting more spirit stones, the best place to do so is back in the regular questline. Just pick the highest level quest you feel comfortable doing and do it over and over again. That's really all it takes.

Bonus Quests in the new maps are alot more painful than those in the Witch of Ages maps. They function more as raid pts providers rather than the supposed grimoire farming area. (grimoires are those used in leveling your units in Enhance mode) They also provide a 6* unit as a clear reward but be warned, they are painful. The current last map's bonus quest boss, Nue is rather annoying if you can't one turn kill it. It debuffs, stuns, freezes, launches and hits hard. Right now i would suggest you just do the mission you are most comfortable with.
If you really want to at least aim for the reward units, get help from your union members. Ask them if they can at least give you the last hit on your (or theirs if they're extremely kind or done with the event) boss so in case it goes wild, you get discoverer bonus. Its a slow, painstaking way (also not reliable unless you're in a union that uses third party communication apps that provide real-time alerts like Line) but the potion consumption compared to you taking down a boss single handedly is significantly lower.

It's just 5* Mikael though. First ever event where I ranked enough to get the first tier reward. On my first week. Just because you just started doesn't mean you can't compete!
...Nah, just joking. It's because the event is really broken, to the point where people have BP pots to outrank us many times over but they don't do it because all they see is lv 10 newbies giving only cheap points. Also the reward is just 5* whereas everyone is already noisy about 6* so it helps.

Mikael is definitely waifu material. I started only around House of Spooks rerun and got destroyed before i even got to 2nd half of the 3rd area. I also only relied on my open union lead to kill off my raids cause 2*s don't do crap to raid bosses orz
In the end i had to make peace with my inner self and achieved Zen.. "Ah. Fruit this. Im going just going to get whatever crowns i can from the event quests and get on with story quests." The rest is history. Screw getting my first 7* at lvl 140ish though.
